Founded in 2016 by attorney Jonathan L. Felt, Felt Family Law & Mediation was built on a simple idea: families facing legal transitions deserve an advocate who reduces conflict rather than adding to it. Our firm focuses exclusively on family law, including divorce, child custody and support, alimony, mediation, adoption, guardianship, protective orders, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. That focus lets us bring the depth of a specialist to every case, understanding the nuances, court procedures, and personal stakes that come with each family’s story.

Jonathan is a trained mediator and experienced attorney whose background as a teacher gave him a lasting appreciation for children’s best interests and how family legal matters affect both kids and parents. His commitment to the community has earned him recognition including the Utah Pro Bono Publico Young Lawyer of the Year Award and a spot among the American Bar’s Top 40 On the Rise Young Lawyers. He has also served as President of the Utah Bar Dispute Resolution Section and the Weber County Bar.

Right from the beginning scheduling was a smooth & easy process speaking with Cari & Jonathan was very prompt, attentive, & super knowledgeable regarding the process of guiding us through the divorce mediation process. We also had to have our final documents filing postponed due to some unresolved issues listed in the paperwork due to one of us not upholding one of the stipulations listed during mediation & Cari was able to make that a smooth process,  paperwork was & is being held for 1 month following our mediation agreement until this part of the agreement is addressed & taken care of between the two of us. Jonathan and Cari were a pleasure to have worked with during this already difficult process!
